Jesus Christ is the Substance, Sustainer, Subject and Sufferer for the Church. As Christians we have the simple duty to preach Christ, or proclaim Him. His sinless life fulfilled all righteousness on our behalf, because there is no way we can be sinless on our own.
His suffering on the Cross to the point of death paid for our redemption! His Resurrection marked the triumph of everlasting life to those who believe!
It doesn't get any better than that!
