The King is Coming

Palm Sunday in the Christian Church is where we remember the fact that Jesus entered Jerusalem as King of Israel.

The entry of Jesus into Jerusalem had been foretold by the Prophet Zechariah many years before.

As Jesus rode into Jerusalem, He was given a royal welcome as they laid their garments and Palm branches down on the ground to welcome their Messiah King.

Numbers of Jews in Jesus's day looked forward to a Golden Age where Israel would triumph over their enemies.

Now Zechariah actually wrote of the First and Second coming of the Lord Jesus
Zacharia looked far into the future and saw the Messiah that was to come in two aspects.
He wanted God's people to look beyond their circumstances to a Savior Coming.

Zechariah made a prophecy which looked into the future where he saw a King coming to Jerusalem some 500 years before it happened.
