1106 Fearfully & Wonderfully Made, the Ear Pt-11

109

This message studies the incredible complex and sub-microscopic operations of the inner ear. How it separates individual notes from the vibrating air molecules and sends electrical impulses to individual brain cells for each vibration to be interpreted as a communication or music or ignored as background noise.
In Romans chapter one we are told that God may be better understood if we understand the genius found in the things that He created. Just as an artist's techniques tell much about the mindset of the artist we can gain knowledge and also faith in our Creator by studying the miracles in God's designs. It becomes much easier to trust a bridge after seeing it support a far greater load than your own, and realizing the genius behind creation is like that.
In observing the seemingly impossible workings of our ears it gives a different perspective of the one we ask for such trivial things as holding a green light because we are running behind. None of us would think of asking a person that we think highly of to hold a door for us or take out our trash because of respect, but "familiarity" can break down those barriers. Jesus put it this way, "A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house".
I have wondered many times if believers realize who they are praying to with some of the things they pray for, or who they are trying to bargain with. Oh I know that we are told to 'come boldly" to God and also "ask and ye shall receive", but that boldness is like a child approaching a parent and the asking is with an awareness that it is up to them to decide. It is a request not an "insistence".
