His Hour Had Come

His Hour Had Come
(John 17:1 ; John 12)

The time had come… the purpose of His birth and life was to die.

I pray you're in a position to receive, welcome and rejoice in His blessings. I've been thinking about the cup the Lord drank from. It wasn't an easy nor pleasant cup to endure but He did. He even said… "Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me." (John 18:11). In other words, He is saying, "Not My will be done, but Thine, Father." When reading over this last week I was reminded by a note I had written in my Bible that everyone has their own cup to drink from.

Join me for a few minutes and I'll take on a journey and Lord willing we'll learn a little more about this cup of ours. So much we can glean practically and positionally. Practically, from His example of obedience to His Father. Positionally, from His substitutional death — when He took the believers place in judgment upon the cross.

"Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? (Romans 8:32: What shall we say to these things? If God be for us…) Father, save Me or keep Me from (John 12:23-26) this hour? But for this purpose I came to this hour." John 12:27

"Father, the hour/time has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You…" John 17:1
