In Him Was Life…

And this life — was light — to them who possessed it.

This life and light was eternal life that illuminates the heart and life of those who believe, know, trust and live for Him that has given them their life and light.

And,somebody who's still living in darkness, they're still in darkness, they cannot see, they cannot see that Jesus is God. That's the darkness that they're in. And that's the heartbeat of what this entire word that John is writing to us. It's the heartbeat about seeing that Jesus is God. And because he's God, he had life in him. And because he had life in him, the life that he had in him was eternal life. And when you know him, you know his father. And when you know him, and you know his father, you have eternal life, not that you will gain eternal life, not that eternal life will come to you, when you know them, you already have eternal life, because it's impossible to know you have eternal life without God turning the what the light own. God has to turn the light on his light, Jesus, the eternal life that is in Him is the light of men. That's what gives men light is his life. So the words life and light are interchangeable. When John talks about these, the light and the life, they go hand in hand together for an example, turn to chapter one of the Gospel of John, let me show you what I'm talking about. John, cover so much of this in detail in the Gospel of John that he talks about in first John. So in verse number one of John, one of the Gospels, he says in the beginning, remember, he opened up First John, That which was from the beginning.
