The Cleansing Power of Christ's Blood

Aim: To delight in the joyous liberty of justification in Jesus' blood atonement.

Exegesis: Jesus' blood purchases for us blessed forgiveness. God works repentance (vv. 7-8) and faith (v. 9) in us. Jesus' blood purchases for us blessed renewal, by imputing His righteousness to us (v. 10) and securing His righteousness in us (v. 11). Jesus' blood purchases for us blessed gladness, through realization of God's grace (v. 12) and proclamation of God's gospel (v. 13).
