Seeking the Lost

Jesus wanted to spend time with Zacchaeus even though Zacchaeus was a notorious sinner. God knows everything. He also knows all that we can request. He knows it better than we do. Our prayers should be as an expression and love for God, not as to a cosmic vending machine. When Jesus invites Himself to Zacchaeus' house, the "bad guy" of the community. The people of the community thought this was scandalous. When Jesus commanded Zacchaeus, he obeyed and hurried down. We should obey the Lord right away as well. When we see people, we see their history. When Jesus looks at people, He sees their future. Our spiritual identity is not based on our physical DNA, it is based on God's grace. Jesus welcomed Zacchaeus' changed heart. Have you been found? Have you been saved? The Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.
