The Great Exchange

On the first Good Friday God decisively and completely dealt with the sin of the world. The one who had never sinned bore the full brunt of God's judgement on our sin and defilement. He became sin for us. He bore our shame and disgrace. He tasted death in all its horror.

All this He did to show the love of God by exchanging our sin for His righteousness. We should not underestimate the power of what God was doing in Christ to reconcile the world to Himself. This is no small gospel but the very power and wisdom of God for the salvation of anyone who believes!
