The Transformed Life in Action

The new life generated by the Spirit of God indwelling the believer is characterized by the righteousness of God. The passion for living as a sacrifice to God will be a consuming zeal compelling the believer to pursue the practice of righteousness and to please the Lord in all matters of life. While this will at times be cause for sacrifice, struggles, and tribulation, the promises surrounding the future of the believer make giving the best effort to serve the Lord regardless of hardship all the more worthwhile.

Believers, as members of the family of God, take care of one another both spiritually and materially. The Lord provides for the physical needs of some through the abundance He provides others. Showing hospitality is a way believers are helpful to one another and involved in meeting needs in varying circumstances.

Quite unlike the natural response, difficulties to, and with unbelievers is to be conditioned by the love generated in the believer by the Holy Spirit. Believers, because of their love for one another, share in joys and sorrows without jealousy, selfishness, or covetousness. They share a mindset characterized by humility and a like-mindedness shaped by the Word of God.
