What Are You Waiting For?

83

Under the government of kindness, blessing and favor from God called GRACE, God has proposed to do in us, for us, to us and through us all that he requires of us. In Phil 2:12-13 God has proposed to Will and Work in us acording to his own good purpose and pleasure. With regard to this the believer is to Work-Out his own salvation with fear and trembling. Afraid of missing the rest and trembling with regard to the weakness and rejection of natural ability and human strength. In Gal 5:4 those who began by the Spirit supposed they could please God by Works of the Law like circumcision. According to Paul those who were submitting to these ordinances were severing themselves from Christ and had drifted off course from GRACE. The remedy for all such disorientation is found in verse 5 where Paul tells them and us what every believer must understand with respect to his personal progressive sanctification, that is, to "wait" by means of the Holy Spirit through continuous faith perception for the realization of righteousness.
In John 2:20-28 John tells us that every one of us has the 'chrisma' the anointing that abides and that anointing teaches us that all we need do is to abide, remain, behold, believe and wait. In Is 30:18 God is waiting for us to stop working and begin waiting. Until then God cannot be very gracious as he desires to be toward His beloved sons and daughters by willing and working in in those who are waiting. This is what the anointing teaches us...to abide, remain, behold, believe and above all wait.
