Called and Consecrated

556

The 12 year period from the death of George Wishart until Knox's permanent return to Scotland was marked by perilous journeys that made Knox one of the most widely traveled of all the Reformers. This message explores his call to the preaching ministry and the severe trials he endured for taking his stand for Christ. It also lays in the important influences in his life, first from the various English Reformers, many of whom were put to death under Queen Mary, and second from the teaching of John Calvin who served to confirm many of Knox's own ideas about theology and the Biblical organization of Christ's church.
