The Suffering Servant (Part 2)

In this passage, the prophet Isaiah continues to describe the substitutionary sacrifice the Servant Messiah would make on behalf of the people of God. He emphasizes the voluntary nature of the Servant's suffering and death. He also emphasizes the effective nature of the Servant's sacrifice, in that it would truly atone for the sins of the people of God as the Servant made intercession for them by way of his sacrificial death and resurrection.
