A common man
A courageous man

If God calls you to serve as a leader in Christ’s kingdom in home, church, or state, don’t let your hard background hinder you from service. Respond by loving Christ, knowing his Word, calling on his Holy Spirit for help so that you might be courageous and wise and adequately be able to fulfill your task.
If you have need for a leader, ignore the poor origin or ethnic background of the man and look to see if he loves Christ and is courageous and wise. These characteristics of your leader will put you in good stead.
Either as a leader or a follower, your ultimate goal must be to bring praise to the Savior. Die to yourself and live for Christ’s glory.
