Paul's Conversion as a Pattern

Except for Christ Himself, the Apostle Paul is the most important spiritual figure ever to live during the last two thousand years. He is also the most attacked person since the time of Christ. He was Christ's foremost apostle. George Lyttelton (1709-1773) set out with his friend Gilbert West to prove the Bible and Christianity false. West concentrated on disproving the resurrection of Christ. Lyttleton attacked the conversion of the Apostle Paul. However, they came to the conclusion thtat they were wrong and consequently, each wrote a book in favor of what they first sought to refute: OBSERVATIONS ON THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST, by Gilbert West, and OBSERVATIONS ON THE CONVERSION OF SAINT PAUL, by George lyttleton; first published in 1747.
