Zechariah's Second Burden - The Day of Exaltation: The Lord and His Habitation

This section brings Zechariah's second burden - and his prophecy as a whole - to its climax with its proclamation that this "day for the Lord" would see Yahweh's enthronement as king over all the earth. This divine intervention in judgment, deliverance, purging and restoration was going to accomplish what every previous such intervention only prefigured. This theophanic day would see the fulfillment of the ancient promise in Eden and the end of the creation's long and agonized exile.
