The Plan of the Cross

After introducing the church in verses 18-20, Jesus tells them how the establishing of His church will come about. In verse 21, we look at the first time Jesus speaks of his death, burial, and resurrection in plain terms. This step by step outline, gives us opportunity on Resurrection Sunday to consider the cross and empty tomb and to take note that this was the plan of God, known and carried out by the Son of God, empowered and enabled by the Spirit of God! He is Risen!
