The Faith of Sarah

The next example that the writer of Hebrews declares has a good testimony is Sarah, the wife of Abraham. When barren Sarah heard at the age of ninety that she was going to have a child, her response was to laugh and then lie about it to God. Even despite her sin in this area, she still has a testimony of having faith. She still received the strength when she and her husband were as good as dead in terms of child baring, ended up being the father and mother of those who have faith. God raising a child from those who are dead is a picture of the resurrection. Sarah believed God. Even though she laughed and lied, she believed the promise of God by faith.
