"Wives, submit to your own husbands"; What It Is, and What It Isn't

A Christian wife is called to live in grateful acknowledgment of her husband's care and leadership. Just as all believers respect and submit to the Lord, Paul wanted wives to respect and submit to their husbands. Unlike the respect we render to Christ, the respect wives render to husbands is of necessity to be conditional. When human leaders violate divine law, we must remain loyal to God above all others.
