10. Consecration of the High Priest

This week’s study will focus on the ceremony of consecration that officially sanctified or set Aaron apart to be the High Priest.

Without the anointing of the Holy Oil upon his head, he was just a man wearing beautiful garments. Our Lord and Saviour rightfully has the title, the Christ or the Messiah, which literally means, the Anointed. He was anointed with the Holy Spirit without measure. Aaron’s sons shared in the anointing just as today believers as New Covenant priests share in our Great high Priest’s anointing.
