Lecture 1: Introduction to the Marriage Covenant Seminar

Taught at the Reformed Seminary of St. Petersburg, Russia, this lecture is the first of a nine-part series comprising the Marriage Covenant Seminar. Upon marriage, the man and woman make a covenant with God to meet certain needs for their spouses. These covenant-needs are created by God, and the covenant itself is made with God on the basis of legitimate needs of both the husband and wife. The covenant of marriage was conceived and designed by God with its doctrinal and historical basis in the relationship of Adam and Eve, thus it precedes all other covenants as well as the Fall of man.
