John 3:16 Doesn't Mean What Most People Think It Means

For many people the meaning of John 3:16 is self evident, but the "self evident" meaning they think the verse has is an Arminian one that contradicts the rest of scripture. John 3:16 is like any other verse in the Bible. We need to examine the context. We need to look at the verse in the original Greek language. We need to compare it with the rest of scripture and see how it harmonizes systematically with the full scope of biblical teaching.
