A Bible-Based Awakening (2)

This message was given by Pastor Jonathan Stobbs as he continued his morning ministry in the Book of Nehemiah. What are some of the characteristics of a movement of God? Pastor Stobbs continues to look at this God-given awakening amongst the people of God in the day of Nehemiah. He looks at conviction, cleansing, and then celebration! As he mentions in this sermon, 'From time to time throughout history, the history of the church, the Lord has sent occasions of great blessing. God's Spirit has burdened people to pray, to search the Scriptures, and confess their sins; from these areas of commitment, and by the mighty outpouring of His Holy Spirit, He has seen fit in His sovereign purposes to breathe fresh life into His people. This is what we have been witnessing here in Nehemiah's day, and friend, I tell you this, the God of Nehemiah, is the God whom we worship today, His hand is still mighty, He can still move in these marvellous ways! How we should pray, ‘Lord rend the heavens!'
