Why We Despise Authority

The concept of authority is a foreign concept to most Americans. Our culture idolizes rebellion, and sadly, it has affected the church as well. Biblically, we only have two choices: (1) we will either submit ourselves to God and his legitimate authorities, or (2) we will be rebels. We will never experience God's blessings as long as we refuse to submit to God's authorities in the family, church, and state.
