Figure, Fulfillment, and Final Proof

The Old Testament worship service was a figure of Christ's removal of our sins as far as the east is from the west, as depicted in the scapegoat ritual. The book of Hebrews provides commentary on what the OT worship service prefigured, telling us of the accomplishment of Christ. However, none of this has any value whatsoever, without the final proof - the resurrection of Jesus Christ - a truth upon which the entire Christian faith rests.
