The core of salvation is being made morally and legally right before God. Justification is that legal aspect of turning the unrighteous into the righteous before a Holy God. Even that act of justification is planned and performed by God in a righteous manner. God does not turn a blind eye to our sin, but deals with it on every level, most especially to declare the guilty, not-guilty!
