The Fruitful Life

122

Paul writes this letter to the Philippian Church when he is a prisoner in Rome.

As you read the book of Philippians, Paul didn't want the Philippians to be surprised by the suffering that came to them and to him as well. Suffering is a normal part of the Christian life.

2 Tim 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Because of Paul's imprisonment other Christians became bold in their faith to speak the Word without fear.

I believe this situation of the Corona Virus in Australia and across the world could have the effect of making Christians bold in their faith.

Whether Paul lived or whether Paul died He wanted Christ to be magnified by his life.
Phil 1:22 NKJV But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. 23 For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. 24 Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you.
Paul knew that if the Lord allowed him to live on that it would mean fruit for his labour.

If you are a Christian you need to know that God wants us to be fruitful in our lives.

Paul knew that if the Lord allowed him to live on that it would mean fruit for his labour in growing churches and reaching the lost.

While ever we are alive on earth and whatever situation we are in God desires to produce fruit in and through our lives.

Jesus lived His whole life in submission to the Father and He lived the most fruitful life spiritually of any man that has ever walked this earth.
If we are going to produce spiritual fruit for God's glory then I believe we need to be in submission to the Father.
