Firstfruits

The consequences, if Christ has not been raised, are disastrous. We are still in our sins. Our preaching is vain; our faith is vain. But Christ has been raised, and the empty tomb is the guarantee to all who believe that we will share in his resurrection. In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul uses the Old Testament principle of firstfruits to show how Christ acts as our representative Head, securing our redemption and giving us the lively hope that we too will experience resurrection life through faith in his name.
