Meet The Prophets
Series Special
Why study the Old Testament?
- “For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God” – Acts 20:27
- “…the scroll of the book it is written of Me…” – Heb. 10:7
- We will be the better equipped to enjoy the New Covenant ministry & it’s blessing
- The New Testament contrast the Old with the New Covenant (2 Cor. 3)
- Because of what has been inspired, namely, “All Scripture is inspired by God…” (2 Tim. 3:15-17)
- Because of its Christo-centric nature, as Jesus Himself described (Luke 24:13-35, 27)
3 Things Common To All Prophets

- They preached in and out of season (2 Tim. 4:2)
- They had a special message for God’s people
