Until Christ comes

The Lord's supper is both proclamation and anticipation. It dwells upon the death of Christ in anticipation of a return that is personal, real and certain. The Jesus who died but rose again will come in majesty, with mercy, triumphantly, savingly, for his beloved people. We therefore approach the Lord's table with faith, with hope, and with love.
