Times of Refreshing

156 ( 100 | 56 )

The healing of a crippled beggar does not point to the miraculous power or the superior godliness of the apostles but to simple faith in the name of Christ. This healing is compelling evidence that the Jesus they had killed had been raised and glorified. Having suffered, just as the prophets had foretold, He now has the authority and power to restore not only this man's lame feet but in fact the whole creation.
What a joy to proclaim the God who blots out the sins of those who believe in the Name of His dear Son so that times of refreshing may come from His presence! This is more than intellectual assent to a doctrine – it is obedient faith in the living risen and glorified Christ who restores the most unlikely and the most unworthy to showcase God's glory and grace."
