Let Them Be...

You can't help them if you can't see them, for what they are...

Don't leave them there...

You can make a difference.

"If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let them be [what they are, for they are still] accursed [and condemned in their sin, and will perish without Him]" (1 Corinthians 16:22).

So don't settle on their puffed up professions of faith...they will tell you they know and love Jesus. But if they show no fondness for Jesus, and little to no desire to want to know Him more intimately, because frankly, they don't like Him, they will die lost and condemned in their sin, no matter if they tell you they believe or not.

More than anything, Paul is telling us that Jesus makes such a radical difference in the lives of those He saves—that they go from having little to nothing to do with Jesus, before salvation, to falling deeper and deeper in love with Him after they have been transformed by His grace. His redeeming grace changes the likes and loves of all its subjects... and they only deepen the more they come to know Him.

So, Paul said it's simple... if they don't LIKE Jesus enough to want to know more about Him, they don't know Him at all, and the saddest part of it all, Jesus doesn't know them either. The One who came to know them, doesn't know them, because they like and love their darkness. And if they die in that condition, they'll hear these final words, "Depart from Me, you workers of iniquity, I never knew you" ~ Jesus

The key...now that we can recognize that some who say they know but don't...
