Happy Are the Hated (Luke 6:22-23)

We want everybody to like us, but Jesus says, "Happy are the hated." The false prophets were loved by the people because they told people what they wanted to hear, but the true prophets of God were fiercely persecuted. Jesus makes clear; it's better to be in the good favor of God than to have people like you.
