Honoring What God Honors

God Honors the Poor (2:5)

First, they are chosen by God – “Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world.”

Second, they are rich in faith – “to be rich in faith”

Third, they are heirs of the kingdom – “and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him”

What does this passage tell us about God:

#1 – God loves the poor

#2 – God does not care about worldly status
