It is vital that every soldier maintain peak fitness, discipline, and alertness when on duty. To this end a soldier must take training, practice ground routines and drill very seriously. In addition a soldier who forgets that being a soldier is being part of a unit; what one soldier does affects the whole unit, for good or bad. So it is with the Christian soldier. To the end that "prayer and supplication in the Spirit" is maintained the Christian soldier must be "alert with all perseverence" and make sure that prayer is made "for all saints" and for the preacher. This final study in the series looks at how all this fits into the context of standing against and overcoming the temptations of Satan and his forces, who will make diversion from prayer one of their main objectives in the war against God's people.
