Stay Focused: Living In Light of the Cross

It seems the older I get, the more frequently I go into a room purposefully at first, but then forget why I went in the first place! Does that ever happen to you? Unfortunately, we sometimes go through life this way, forgetting why we're here and where we're going. So many things within us and outside of us conspire to distract us. When we read the record of Jesus' life, we find that He remained intensely focused on His life's purpose. Nothing distracted Him from His journey to the cross and His return to heaven. We, too, find and fulfill our life's purpose as we keep our gaze on Christ, especially His cross and empty tomb.
