The Messiah: Betrayed, Arrested, Forsaken

Everything about the betrayal, arrest, and crucifixion of Jesus Christ unfolded according to the pre-determinate counsel of God. In these verses we tread on the holy ground of Gethsemane as Jesus cries out to His Father that, if there is any other way, He wanted to not drink the cup of God's wrath. Yet He would rather do that than to ever disobey His Father. Bless the Living Christ that He drank that awful cup for us!
