The Marks of a Healthy Christian Cause

This message was given by Pastor Jonathan Stobbs as he continued his evening ministry in Paul's Epistle to the Philippians. What is required of believers in this day and age to advance the cause of the Gospel? Pastor Stobbs delivers a message with great urgency to stir up believers to be those who stand for the truth with courage and fearlessness. The following extract from the sermon illustrates his plea, 'We need to return and embrace the truth of God's Word, we need to be willing like the reformers to hold fast the Faith which was delivered and we need fight the good fight. We need to be a people for the glory of God, and who will remain in the spiritual battle, because we are girded in the armour of God. We look to our heritage, and we see our brothers and sisters throughout the ages, we see the Reformers, we see the many martyrs for the Faith, and we must carry on the legacy they have handed to us. In today's desire to despise our heritage, to despise the cause of Christ in history, to brand it irrelevant, we stand with those same figures on the horizon of history on the unshakeable foundation of the inerrant truth of God's Word, that proclaims His gospel of grace to a lost world.'
