The Synthetic Method of Bible Study

The synthetic method is designed to gain an overall understanding of a book so that the detailed study of particular passages within it can be set in their proper context. An example is given using the book of Philippians. Please note that the particular way in which you organize initial observations will be dependent upon what works best for you as an individual.
