In this passage, Paul offers two types of prayers for the Ephesian church and for all believers. Paul offers a prayer of thanksgiving for the report concerning the Ephesian church and a prayer of intercession for the Ephesian church to continue to grow in their knowledge of God. He asks specifically that the Ephesian church understand the hope of God's calling, the riches of the glory of His inheritance and the greatness of His power directed toward believers.
