Death Could Not Hold Him

The most important Person who has ever lived is Jesus Christ! The specific purpose of His coming as a man to planet earth was to die for the sins of the world and to resurrect victorious over death. This is the truth that was the focus of Peter's message on the Day of Pentecost - God the Son took on human flesh, lived a sinless life, laid down His life on a cross for the sins of men, was buried and then rose again from the dead. Peter's proclamation of "the gospel" was intended to persuade the men of Israel , and in turn all men, to repent and be saved.
