A hostage to bitterness

We all probably know someone who is bitter, but honesty might reveal some bitterness in ourselves. Bitterness effects our vision; it keeps us from seeing straight. The hurt, resentment, and negative experiences of life can help us respond wrongly to things. The things that are done to us, said about us, or what may have been taken from us can make us bitter. As bitterness grows it festers, poisoning all around it and crowded out everything else.
