TULIP - Preservation of the Saints
Series Doctrines of Grace
85
God accomplishes all that he intends to accomplish (Dan 4:35) and the bible is abundantly clear that he intended to accomplish the salvation of his people (Matt 1:21). As such their salvation is as sure as the perfect work of Christ (Col 3:3) and as certain as the very promises of God (John 10:28). Many in Christendom teach the false doctrine that a child of God must "do something" in order to get saved and can "do something" to lose that salvation. But those who understand the grace of God in salvation affirm that "life" (Rom 8:38) cannot separate God's people from their savior, and find joy in affirming the great truth that NOTHING "shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Rom 8:39)
