Call Him Lord Jesus

Christ presses a life of service upon his disciples out of a key relationship that is expressed in the very way they address Him. They call Him Lord. Here is a biblical analysis of the manner of personal address the Christian should use when relating themselves personally to the Lord Jesus Christ. It is an argument that the disciples never spoke inter-personally to Christ or of Him with out addressing Him as Lord. The casual nature of our addressing our master on a first name basis has not led to greater intimacy with Him. It has only distanced us from the relationship He has when He lives in us and through us as we obey Him.
