The Fulfillment of Simeon's Prayer
Series Children of the Covenant
471
In the first of a four part series on God's Covenant promises and what they mean for our children, Pastor Stoos begins with one of his favorite character from the Christmas accounts.
Simeon was a just and devout man who the Spirit of God brought to the Temple on the morning that Joseph and Mary brought Jesus for the required sacrifice. He blesses God with a prayer that has been prayed and sung by the Saints for thousand of years.
Pastor Stoos shows how Simeon is our example for having a life filled with hope, contentment and vision.
He challenges the Saints to be people of the Word hoping in God's promises, to be content with where God has placed them and to be consumed with the vision of God's work in the world.
