The Dangers Of Vain Worship

In considering Nadab and Abihu, Aaron's sons and their disregard for the glory of God. Their
dare to share in the manifest greatness of God gave way to three lessons: a) Warning against the
sin of familiarity with God (v1) b) The Punishment for the sin – "death"(v2) and c) The Purpose
for punishment – as "a reminder to all who come before God, not trifle with the Majesty of God"
and to exhort believers to honor God, for who He is that "He is the creator and that "man is, but a
creature of clay" – (v3).
