Better Than Life

It's Better than Life — What?

Forsaking the Lord, the fountain of living water and relying upon the broken and bacteria filled resources and reserve of lies… (Jeremiah 2:13) 

When we forsake the Lord, we forsake Him for something that is empty of Him. It's not empty... the contents within it are empty of Him. The cisterns we form and feed upon fuels and feeds our flesh but leaves us dry of the Lord and unable to water others for Him. So we water and encourage them with is something less than Him and His grace. It's corrupt and rotten.

Season upon season and day upon day... they continue to display the beauty of life. And as seasons change and the days fade away --- they remind us that we need something more than what this life offers. Something that is sure, steadfast and unchanging. And, as David declared and faithfully proclaimed, I also want to testify to His unfailing and steadfast love. He said, "Because Your lovingkindness is better than life itself, my lips will not cease to praise You."
