There is a brief but valuable lesson in this passage. And that is, that God provides justice for all. Here in the text, there are 5 young sisters who were not included in the recent census, and as such, would have no land of their own, when the nation crossed the Jordan. So very wisely, they went to Moses to seek for justice to be served.
