The Devil's Deceptive Tactics

Acting like the devil... deception at its best! Turkey hunters play a dirty role attempting to kill a big gobbler. I use a call to sound like a sweet hen that is ready for a strutting show off. Yep, I want him to think I'm some sweet thing looking for a bird with a flame burning in him to act on his natural desires. I even used this decoy to entrap him.

After studying these birds over the years, I know what he wants. So... I play on his natural desires to lure him in for the kill. Hunting is all about capitalizing on two things... I've learned that animals need to feed and they need to breed. They are born with an instinct to do both and a good hunter knows how to use that instinct to lure or cutoff an animal on its way to do either one. This decoy looks so real and is designed to bring that big boy within gun range to make a good clean head shot.

Satan uses deception, too! He lures and entraps men and women with those things that naturally appeal to each us so he can draws us in for the kill. His aim is to steal, kill and destroy.

This is why a believer MUST put on the whole armor of God. NOT just a piece or two...but ALL the armor...to do all they can to stand against Satan...when he attempts to entice them to feed on their natural desires. Lust is simply a natural desire in excess... or a desire that we keep feeding until it becomes a problem. And we, by nature, are prone to over feed our desires.

Can I serve you up a little good news, on this lovely day the Lord has made?

If satan could, he would! What do I mean by that? If satan could use uncommon and unnatural means to tempt us, he would...
