Opposition Stirring!

We looked at verse 10 of Nehemiah 2 and saw how there were those who were displeased that someone had come to do seek the welfare of Israel. These characters would be responsible for sustained and diverse attacks on Nehemiah and the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem. We considered how the Devil is active, he has a variety of stratagems and tactics. We must be on our guard. Where there is a work of God, there will also be a counter work of the Devil. The blessing that the people of God have, is that, they are on the side victorious. The strength and victory that they have is in Christ.
