How Prophecy Of The First And Second Advents Were Fulfilled On Palm Sunday

236

We all know the story of how Jesus rode into the city, and they waved palm branches and hailed Him as a king. But the part of the story that is often overlooked is how this particular moment met all the requirements of Jesus' first coming as Saviour, and His second coming as Messiah and King according to Old Testament prophecies.

On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we will be looking at what is commonly referred to as Palm Sunday from an historical, inspirational and doctrinal perspective. Everything that Jesus did that day had already been prophesied in the Old Testament. Jesus rode a donkey colt because Zechariah said He would. Did you also know that the first born colt of a donkey must be redeemed by a lamb according to the Law of Moses found in Exodus? 2,000 years of prophetical history from both Testaments met face to face that day in Jerusalem, and after tonight's study, you will never view Palm Sunday the same way ever again.

"And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest." Matthew 21:9 (KJV)
